The original was created from life in the living room of the apartment I stayed at in Chiaia, Naples. This living room is situated right off of the bedroom that I used during my three months there. I knew from the minute I saw the light pooling through the doorway that leads to the balcony with a view of the city, I knew had to paint it. It evoked a sense of longing within me and a juxtaposition between the comfortable, darker space and that exciting light that holds much curiosity; this print invites you to savor that atmopshere.
