My name is Lily Regalia, and I am a creative at heart: painter, songwriter, foodie, travel-lover, dreamer … and blogger apparently! If you would like to know more about me or my process, reference my bio.
Join me while I travel to new places emotionally with my art and literally across the world. I will expand on that below!

Why I’m writing this
I never saw myself starting an art blog, but I always attempt to try new things. I knew that blogging entailed sharing about oneself or thoughts on a specific topic; however, I never knew the extent to which it can be useful — especially when you want to get your name out there and are not really comfortable in front of a camera.
I have tried YouTube in order to showcase my art, but it does not represent the authentic me. I cannot help but act slightly differently when I know people are watching.
I feel that those that have seen my artwork appreciate it, and it connects with them in some way. I wish to have this impact on an audience on a larger scale. This blog will not only help me to connect with my own work but to put it out into the world for more to see.
I also want to provide a platform in which I can entertain and educate, to the best of my ability, on the deep ocean that is the art world; hopefully, you will feel comfortable enough to reach out and converse with me — I would love nothing more than to share our love of this subject.
What you can expect
In this blog, I will…
1. Discuss topics that help other artists & enthusiasts
This may entail talking about why I choose to work on large canvases or this could include information on how a beginning artist can make work that looks authentic to themselves and not manufactured or this could include how to choose artwork that is best for your living space. Wow, that was a long run-on sentence.
2. Go into depth about the process of making certain pieces
A few of my paintings have materials in them that are not exactly commonplace such as caulk and bubblegum. I will discuss my experiences with those materials; I will also discuss other aspects of my process that are interesting and can possibly help to gain insight.
3. Discuss artists who may inspire you
There are infamous artists who many admire such as Van Gough; however, there are so many fantastic artists alive today which you should follow on social media. There are too many to list here, but you may want to stay tuned for that *wink wink*
4. Keep you up to date on any in-progress work
Not only will I discuss the work that I have already created, but I will be sure to keep you in the loop about what is currently in production. This way, you can hear what is working and any struggles that I'm facing. After all, artmaking comes with plenty of that.
*If you have any suggestions, I would be all ears! Comment down below on what you would like to know more about when it comes to art*

Who this is for
Although everyone is welcome here, I believe that this a special place for:
1. Art enthusiasts
Maybe you are just someone who enjoys art and happened to stumble upon this site or maybe you're a curator that works for a gallery. Who knows! What is important is that you appreciate the artwork for what it is.
2. Fellow fine artists
You could be a beginning artist or DIY-er that is looking to create art for their home. You could be an experienced artist with a large body of work to boot. Either way, I always enjoy finding original work and reading the stories behind it; hopefully this site is no exception for you.
3. Creatives in general
Maybe you aren't a gallery curator or well-versed in traditional art per say, but you are a writer, a musician, an interior designer, someone who simply questions the world around them. Us creatives share a lot in common about the way we think; we may have similar ideas but just execute them differently. I hope that this is a safe space for you!
I look forward to engaging with whoever is reading this. Feel free to leave a comment below if you have gotten to this point in this post — I would appreciate your thoughts! If you would like to discuss anything in further detail, the "contact me" page is listed within my bio.
Thank you!
